- Frederick C. Raffetto is a partner in the Red Bank, N.J. office of Hill Wallack LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Municipal Law and Land Use practice groups.
In addition to municipal law and land use, Mr. Raffetto’s practice includes real property tax appeals (on both sides of the aisle), eminent domain, redevelopment law, cannabis issues and historic preservation.
As a municipal attorney, Mr. Raffetto has served as general counsel to the City of Asbury Park (Monmouth County), the Borough of Hightstown (Mercer County), and the Borough of Jamesburg (Middlesex County) for over 20 years. Through the years, he has also provided general legal services to the Township of Marlboro (Monmouth County) and the Township of Hopewell (Mercer County), as well as tax appeal counsel services to the City of Long Branch (Monmouth County). In addition, Mr. Raffetto currently serves as Special Counsel to the Borough of Spring Lake Heights (Monmouth County) for property tax matters, and the Borough of Beach Haven (Ocean County) for historic preservation matters.
Mr. Raffetto is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New Jersey (1991) and Florida (1993), and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (1991). He is a member of the New Jersey, Monmouth County, and Florida Bar Associations. In New Jersey, he currently serves as a member of the Cannabis Law Committee of the State Bar Association, and he has previously served as a member of the Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court.
Mr. Raffetto earned his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law and is a graduate of Lafayette College. After law school graduation, Mr. Raffetto served as law clerk to the Honorable Eugene D. Serpentelli, A.J.S.C., Ocean County.
Outside of his law work, Mr. Raffetto was a founding Board member of Athlete Ally, Inc., and served as a member of its Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2021. Currently, Mr. Raffetto serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County.
