    INSURANCE DEFENSE, INSURANCE COVERAGE & LITIGATION  (Princeton Office) 

    Hill Wallack LLP is looking for a New Jersey licensed attorney with at least 2 years’ experience in insurance defense and/or insurance coverage. Attorney will be responsible to defend lawsuits asserting claims based upon negligence, product liability, governmental liability, professional liability, and employment practices liability.  Attorney will also work with partners regarding first and third party insurance litigation.  Candidate must have an ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues and clients in a remote setting. Candidate must be proficient in technology, legal research and other computer/web based data sources. Writing sample and references are required. Clerkship following law school is preferred.     Immediate Opening - The firm seeks a Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 5+ years of corporate law experience for a full-time position in our Yardley location.

    Essential functions include:

    • Handle the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships
    • Knowledge of PA formation of entity rules and UCC filings.
    • Assist in preparation of commercial real estate/loan closing transactions.
    • Interact and communicate with clients, adversaries, title companies and other involved parties on status of transactions, deadlines, etc.,

    PARALEGAL - INSURANCE DEFENSE DEPARTMENT (Princeton Office)

    Hill Wallack is seeking an Insurance Defense paralegal with 2-4 years previous experience in civil litigation, insurance defense and/or employment a plus. The following is a summary of job duties:

    • Review and analyze file documents (i.e. company or claim files)
    • Determine and identify relevant information, witnesses, third party documents and information to subpoena
    • Prepare discovery, expert and trial binders
    • Prepare subpoenas, letters, public records request, and authorizations.
    • Work with preferred vendors for record retrieval, expert retention, depositions/court reporters, private investigators.
    • Handle and collaborate on scheduling of depositions, expert exams and client meetings or witness interviews.
    • Prepare various discovery requests, responses, and summaries of same.
    • Summarize various records (medical; employment; tax; educational; surveillance, etc.)
    • Prepare detailed medical chronology and medical billing chart.
    • Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, trial etc.
    • WestlawNext research to locate witnesses and obtain background information.
    • Social media research.
    • Locate and work with fact and experts witnesses for independent medical examinations, site inspections, trial, depositions etc.
    • Locate and retain investigators for surveillance, etc.
    • Prepare trial disclosures; trial notebooks; and exhibits for use at trial.
    • Bill and enter time
    • Maintain and follow a diary system for compliance and meeting deadlines

    Hill Wallack has an immediate opening for a full-time receptionist/administrative clerk in our Princeton office. Position requires experience working in a professional office setting with a high level of activity, confidentiality, and integrity. Candidates should possess exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to multi-task and easily adapt to change. Ability to use multi-line phone system and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook are necessary. Minimum 3 years of experience preferred. Attendance is a necessary part of the job.     LEGAL SECRETARY (Princeton Office)

    Hill Wallack has an immediate opening for a full-time legal secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support to a team of commercial real estate attorneys. Responsibilities include assisting attorneys and other staff as needed, preparing closing binders and additional post closing items.

    This individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs. The qualified Legal Secretary will be a team player who can manage independent projects in a deadline-driven environment while utilizing strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    TRADEMARK PARALEGAL/ASSISTANT (Princeton Office)

    Strong administrative background with Trademark experience required. Duties include managing docketing software, preparing documents and communications specific to trademarks and patents. Facilitate and schedule meetings. Manage follow-ups and deadlines. Interface with attorneys, clients, agents and inventors. Knowledge of and experience with USPTO Trademark and Patent database. Attention to detail, resourceful, self-starter with can do winning attitude and desire to constantly learn and succeed in the practice of law as a career.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist attorneys with IP matters related to prosecution, litigation, deposition and trial prep, primarily involving Trademarks
    • Prep filings with TEAS and PAIR
    • Correspond and interact with opposing counsel, federal agents, clients, potential clients, foreign counsel and vendors
    • Document review, proof reading, editing and formatting
    • Maintaining calendars and communicating with attorneys to meet deadlines
    • Assisting with business development, marketing and client retention
    • Assisting with case management, maintenance and organization of files
