Hill Wallack Exceeds Fannie Mae Information Security Guidelines

The Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines are one of the most widely adopted standard in mortgage servicing and foreclosure. The Fannie Mae guidelines mandate that any law firm performing foreclosure work on Fannie Mae loans must have adequate controls over information security, data management, and fraud protection. Fannie Mae Servicing Guide F-2-04 Firm Minimum Requirements (11/12/2014) (Published 4/11/2018) The guidelines require that a law firm must maintain physical, technical and procedural controls to protect against unauthorized access to or use of such information, and the firm must implement controls meeting or exceeding industry standards including standards promulgated by the ISO or NIST.
