Shannon M. Boyne

  • Shannon is an attorney in the Firm’s Employment Law practice group, where she advises and represents employers on a broad range of labor and employment matters. She works proactively with clients on issues related to personnel management and workplace compliance. Over the course of her career, Shannon has successfully defended employers in claims brought under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She also represents employers in labor negotiations, grievance arbitrations, and disputes arising under the National Labor Relations Act.

    In addition to handling complex employment disputes, Shannon is committed to providing clients with practical, day-to-day guidance on workplace issues. She regularly counsels employers on organization-wide hiring practices, performance management, employee separations, reductions in force, wage and hour compliance, leave policies, workplace accommodations, internal employment policies and procedures, and strategies to minimize employment-related risk.

    Shannon grew up in Robbinsville, New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Government from the College of William and Mary. Following her undergraduate studies, she spent a year studying at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Shannon later attended New England Law | Boston, where she received her J.D. as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. During law school, she served as an Executive Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review.

    Outside of her legal practice, Shannon enjoys watching hockey, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
