Mitchell is a highly skilled transactional and tax attorney whose multidisciplinary background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, a B.S. in Business Administration, and licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His combined legal, tax, and accounting experience enables him to provide pragmatic advice and to structure business transactions in a manner designed to minimize federal and estate tax liability. He is widely regarded not only as an accomplished tax attorney, but also as an astute transactional attorney handling sophisticated real estate, business, and financing matters.
In addition to his trusts and estates practice, Mitchell represents clients in corporate and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing arrangements, entity structuring, and related matters. He is also well versed in representing franchisees throughout New Jersey and across the East Coast, including New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania, in franchise acquisitions, agreement negotiation, and dispute resolution. From initial acquisition and agreement review through negotiation and dispute management, Mitchell focuses on protecting the business interests of franchisee clients.
Mitchell is an active member of the American Bar Association Sections of Taxation, Real Property, and Business Law, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Estate and Financial Council of Southern New Jersey, and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
