    Hill Wallack LLP Welcomes New Attorneys To Family & Matrimonial Law Practice

    PRINCETON, NJ – Hill Wallack LLP is pleased to welcome Supti Bhattacharya as a partner and Megha R. Thakkar as counsel to the firm’s Princeton, New Jersey office.

    Supti Bhattacharya comes to Hill Wallack from the Law Office of Supti Bhattacharya LLC. Bhattacharya represents clients in the areas of family and matrimonial law, including: divorce, separation, domestic custody and international custody, child support, alimony, college tuition and college expense contribution, child emancipation, equitable distribution of assets, domestic violence, pre-nuptial agreements and mid-marriage agreements.

    Bhattacharya began her career with a judicial clerkship in Essex Vicinage with the Hon. Michelle C. Hollar-Gregory (Ret.), followed by several years working at Sterns & Weinroth, P.C. in commercial litigation as well as family law. She has owned and managed several firms prior to joining Hill Wallack, where she is now Chairperson of the firm’s New Jersey Family Law practice group. 

    Bhattacharya is admitted to practice in New Jersey (2002), the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (2002) and the District of Columbia (2004). She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark where she was the Symposium Editor of the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal, and her B.A. Magna Cum Laude, with Honors, from the University of Pennsylvania where she triple majored in Sociology, Urban Studies and South Asia Studies. She is also fluent in Bengali.

    Megha Thakkar comes to Hill Wallack as counsel. Thakkar represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including divorce litigation and mediation, contested custody matters, alimony and child support disputes, post-judgment applications, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence litigation. She has successfully handled cases regarding custody disputes and out of state relocation of children from inception to trial. She also handles complex issues of equitable distribution including distribution of businesses, stock options, and restricted stock, and works with forensic accountants in order to achieve an equitable resolution.   

    Thakkar most recently worked at Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, as an associate. Prior to entering private practice, Thakkar served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Andrea G. Carter, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, Middlesex County.

    Thakkar is admitted to practice in New Jersey (2008), United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (2008) and New York (2009). She earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a St. Thomas More academic scholar and named to the Dean’s List. She earned her B.A. from New York University, where she received the University President’s Service Award for volunteerism and leadership. She is fluent in Gujarati.
