Hill Wallack LLP Partner Stephen M. Eisdorfer to speak at 2016 New Jersey Planning Conference
The 2016 New Jersey Planning Conference will be held on Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick. Hill Wallack LLP will be a corporate sponsor of this event.
Partner Stephen M. Eisdorfer will be a moderator at the session entitled:
Affordable Housing: Expiring resale controls—law and policy
We know how to create privately owned resale-restricted affordable housing. What happens when the resale controls expire? As the resale controls imposed on first generation of low and moderate income housing created under Mt. Laurel the Fair Housing Act approach their expiration, this has become a large and urgent question. It raises both important policy issues and complex legal issues. This program will explore both the policy and legal issues and practical solutions, including the current UHAC regulations and the Mahwah decision.”
