Patrick J. Kane

- Patrick joins us as Of Counsel with our Creditors Rights Department and is based in the San Diego Office of Hill Wallack LLP.
He has substantial experience representing depository institutions, mortgage investors, and loan servicers in litigation in both federal and state courts. Patrick’s practice focuses on litigation defense and compliance advice concerning the FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, RESPA as well as other federal and state consumer protection statutes.
Patrick is also a state appointed hearing officer for the California Horse Racing Board where he conducts and oversees hearings, adjudicates decisions, and issues findings of fact and conclusions of law.
Patrick graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona where he majored in Animal Science and was a graduate of the Race Track Industry Program. There, he received the Mildred Vessels Scholarship Award and the Race Track Industry Program’s Scholarship Award.
He is a member of the American Bankers Association, ACA International, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI), and the San Diego County Bar Association.
Patrick is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the State of Arizona as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California and the United States District Court of Arizona.
