    New Leadership Roles For Michael J. Shavel

    Boy Scouts of America (Bucks County Council) and The United Way of Bucks County

    Yardley, PA May 19, 2014 ---
    Hill Wallack LLP partner Michael J. Shavel has been named Executive Vice President of the Bucks County Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Council serves more than 9,500 young people in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Mercer and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey. Mr. Shavel has previously served as Vice President for Programs of the Council. He is also an active member of the National Boy Scout Area 5 Committee. Mr. Shavel is an Eagle Scout and has been involved in scouting his entire life.

    Mr. Shavel was also recently elected to the Board of Directors of the United Way of Bucks County. He was inducted at the organization’s Pep Rally Awards & Annual Breakfast which took place on Friday, May 2, 2014. The United Way of Bucks County is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization that determines and addresses the greatest needs in Bucks County. The United Way of Bucks County is dedicated to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.

He is also Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Family Service Association of Bucks County.

    Mr. Shavel, a partner in the Yardley office of Hill Wallack LLP, is a member of the firm’s Banking & Financial Services and Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy practice groups. He has over 24 years of experience exclusively practicing in the lending, banking and creditors’ rights field. A graduate of Drew and Ohio Northern universities, Mr. Shavel is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
