    INSURANCE DEFENSE, INSURANCE COVERAGE & LITIGATION (Princeton Office)

    Hill Wallack LLP is looking for a full time New Jersey licensed attorney with 2-5 years’ civil litigation experience – defense preferred - in insurance defense, employment and/or insurance coverage. Attorney will be responsible to defend lawsuits involving claims of negligence, premises, product, governmental, professional and employment practices liability. Attorney will also work with partners regarding first and third party insurance litigation. Candidate must have an ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues and clients. Candidate must be proficient in technology, legal research and other computer/web based data sources. Writing sample and references are required. Clerkship following law school is preferred. Candidates out of judicial clerkships preferred but will consider any candidate with 0-2 years experience.     LEGAL ASSISTANT (Yardley office)

    Hill Wallack LLP is looking for a Mailroom Clerk for its Yardely, PA office.

    Job Description: 

    This position is responsible for the screening, sorting and delivery of mail receivables, packages and stock items as directed by manager/supervisor. The qualified candidate will be able to use Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to learn other computer programs and software, verbal and interpersonal communication, ability to work along and ability to meet deadlines.

    • Scan all mail received from Post Office including Return to Sender.
    • Conduct daily mail sweeps throughout the firm to deliver and pick up mail.
    • Post all outgoing mail and prepare for next morning Post Office retrieval.
    • Receive & deliver all accountable shipments, acquiring signatures upon delivery.
    • Package, label and make arrangements for pick-up of all outgoing parcels.
    • Supply each copier and printer station with paper and supplies.
    • Investigate all mystery mail.
    • Perform all copy, print, and imaging requests.
    • Keep an organized inventory of all office supplies.
    • Perform kitchen and pantry maintenance daily.
    • Coordinate service calls on all copiers and printers with outside vendor.
    • Coordinate all hand deliveries with courier vendor.
    • Set up conference rooms with any requested catering or supplies.

    Education/Experience:
                Prefer six months experience in mailroom environment.
                High School Dipolma or GED equivalent required.

    LITIGATION PARALEGAL– (Princeton)

    Hill Wallack LLP has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal in our Princeton office. Candidate must have 3 years previous paralegal experience in civil litigation with employment law experience. 

    Essential functions and job duties include:

    • Review and file documents
    • Understand the role of electronically stored information (ESI) in the discovery process and be able to manage discovery involving ESI
    • Identify relevant information, witnesses, third party documents and information to subpoena
    • Prepare discovery, court papers and trial binders
    • Prepare subpoenas, letters, public records request, and authorizations
    • Work with preferred vendors for record retrieval, expert retention, depositions/court reporters, private investigators.
    • Schedule depositions, client meetings, and witness interviews
    • Prepare discovery requests, responses, and summaries of the same.
    • Summarize various records (medical; employment; tax; educational; surveillance, etc.)
    • Summarize depositions
    • Index discovery
    • Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, trial etc.
    • WestlawNext research to retrieve cases, locate witnesses and obtain background information.
    • Ability to check a brief for proper case citations and quotations
    • Social media research.
    • Bill and enter time
    • Maintain calendar for compliance and meeting deadlines

    • Locate and work with fact and experts witnesses for independent medical examinations, site inspections, trial, depositions etc.
    • Locate and retain investigators for surveillance, etc.
