Hill Wallack LLP has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Paralegal with 2+ years of REO real estate experience in both NJ and NY for a full-time position in our Princeton location. The Real Estate Paralegal will assist the supervising attorney with all aspects of real estate transactions from pre-contract title review to closing. Essential functions will include (a) handling client communications such as follow ups on scheduling, information and transaction updates, (b) review and analyze title binders with follow up on orders of payoffs related to tax and association liens (c) review of residential contracts and preparation of attorney review correspondences and contract addendums, (d) interacting and communicating with clients, adversaries, title companies and other involved parties on status of transactions, deadlines, etc., (e) maintaining spreadsheet with detailed ongoing status of transaction including date of receipt of deposit funds, date of entry of applicable court orders and closing dates, and (f) providing general administrative assistance to the supervising attorney. Strong organizational and motivational skills required. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a high level of independence and legal knowledge with a friendly demeanor. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Strong administrative background with Trademark experience required. Duties include managing docketing software, preparing documents and communications specific to trademarks and patents. Facilitate and schedule meetings. Manage follow-ups and deadlines. Interface with attorneys, clients, agents and inventors. Knowledge of and experience with USPTO Trademark and Patent database. Attention to detail, resourceful, self-starter with can do winning attitude and desire to constantly learn and succeed in the practice of law as a career.Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with IP matters related to prosecution, litigation, deposition and trial prep, primarily involving Trademarks
- Prep filings with TEAS and PAIR

- Document review, proof reading, editing and formatting
- Maintaining calendars and communicating with attorneys to meet deadlines
