Melissa N. Licker is counsel in the New York office, where she is a member of the Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy practice group.
Melissa focuses her practice primarily on the representation of secured creditors, equity holders, and investors in cases pending under all chapters of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Melissa provides clients with strategies for navigating bankruptcy in a manner that best fits their needs. She has extensive experience with motion practice, defending adversary proceedings, claims review, filing, and trial work.
Melissa is a graduate of Beasley School of Law, Temple University and the University of Washington. While at Temple University, Melissa was Associate Editor: Temple International & Comparative Law Journal; Student Director: Legal Research and Writing Program; and Pro Bono service hours award: Rubin Public Interest Law Society. At Washington University, Melissa created and produced Global Business Case Competition with 12 international undergraduate teams.
Melissa is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania; all NY, NJ federal districts and Eastern District of Missouri; Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
