Marissa K. Vila is an Associate in the Princeton and Cedar Knolls, NJ office of Hill Wallack LLP, where she is a member of the Trial & Insurance practice group. She is also a member of the Community Associations practice group, and works part-time out of the firm’s Cedar Knoll, N.J. office.
Ms. Vila concentrates her practice on representing insurance companies and their insureds in a broad range of claims and civil litigation. Her practice includes the defense of employers, businesses, local boards of education, volunteer fire departments, EMTSs and their employees for a wide variety of claims stemming from discrimination; physical and sexual assault; harassment, intimidation and bullying; negligent supervision; and violations of both state and federal civil rights and laws.
Ms. Vila is admitted to practice in New Jersey (2015) and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey (2016). Ms. Vila clerked with the Honorable Francis R. Hodgson, Jr., P.J. Ch., Ocean Vicinage before entering private practice. She earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Providence College.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, skydiving, and spending time in Long Beach Island, N.J. Ms. Vila dedicates her time to volunteering at Cochlear America where she mentors young individuals with hearing disabilities. She also enjoys spending time with her two-year-old black Lab, Darcy.Leadership
