  • George A. McGowan, III, is Partner to the firm, with the concentration of his practice relating to trusts and estate preparation and administration, corporate and commercial law, business organization, technology agreements and the representation of clients in all phases of corporate stages from formation through IPO. Before joining the firm, Mr. McGowan litigated civil and criminal cases in the State of New Jersey as well as NJ Federal Courts. Mr. McGowan then became the General Counsel of two start-up telecommunication companies. Mr. McGowan became an Assistant General Counsel at KeySpan and Foster Wheeler, two publicly traded companies where he was responsible for corporate transactions, financing, tax structure, technology agreements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, real estate, and litigation.  Mr. McGowan became assistant general counsel at a large data center real estate investment trust where he handled transactional, financial and employment issues. Subsequently, Mr. McGowan has been in the private practice of law, focused on all aspects of corporate law, transactions, and finance.

    He earned his B. S. in Finance and Marketing at Manhattan College and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. After law school graduation, Mr. McGowan was law clerk to the Honorable Patrick J. McGann, Jr., Superior Court, Chancery Division: General Equity and Probate, Monmouth County, New Jersey. While in law school, Mr. McGowan worked as a law intern with the Honorable Daniel Moore in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Newark, N.J. as well as the law Firm of Ravin, Sarasohn in Roseland, NJ.

    Mr. McGowan has been a founding board member of America’s Grow a Row , a not-for-profit providing fresh farm grown fruits and vegetables to Food Pantries in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
