L. Stephen Pastor Continues Tradition To Help Bring Thanksgiving To Local Families
Yardley, PA December 1, 2014 --- Hill Wallack LLP partner L. Stephen Pastor has once again continued his collaboration with The Church of the Scared Heart in Trenton and helped to provide Thanksgiving meals to local needy families. For the past 12 years, Mr. Pastor has worked with Sacred Heart Church to provide meals and groceries through The Lord’s Table. Since the program’s inception, a total of over 5,000 turkeys have been provided to local families.
This year Mr. Pastor raised enough funds to purchase turkeys for approximately 440 families, who otherwise would not enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. In keeping with tradition, Mr. Pastor handled the purchase, pickup and delivery of the turkeys to The Church of the Sacred Heart. The Church then distributed bags of groceries to complete the meal, providing families in the Trenton area with much-needed holiday help.
“I look forward to this turkey drive each and every year,” said Mr. Pastor. “To be able to help those in need truly makes the holiday season that much more special.”
