Princeton, NJ November 19, 2014 --- Hill Wallack LLP attorney Ryan P. Kennedy has been elected President of the Hopewell Valley YMCA Board of Directors. Mr. Kennedy is counsel in the Princeton, N.J. office of the firm and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Division and Banking & Financial Services, Eminent Domain, Property Tax Appeals and Regulatory & Government Affairs practice groups.

The Hopewell Valley YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body through programs which promote good health, strong families, youth leadership, and community development. YMCA’s are open to men, women, and children of all ages, abilities, races, and religions. Based in Pennington, New Jersey, the Hopewell Valley YMCA provides programming to more than 1,500 children and adults each year through educational enrichment, before and after-school childcare, camps, athletics, dance, Safety Town, swimming and the Hopewell Valley “YAC” Youth Activity Center.

Mr. Kennedy concentrates his practice in all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, lending and development, with particular emphasis on redevelopment, condemnation, transit oriented development and lender work-outs. Mr. Kennedy also regularly advises clients on New Jersey election and campaign finance law and has represented property owners in real estate tax appeals throughout the state. In addition to his involvement with the Hopewell Valley YMCA, Mr. Kennedy is a member of the Hopewell Borough Planning Board and the Hopewell Borough Economic Development Commission, Vice-Chair of the Lawrence Township Growth and Redevelopment Committee, a member of the Board of Directors of the Lakeview Foundation, Vice-Chair of the RWJ Hamilton Hospital Foundation Young Professionals Board and a member of the Hospital's Audit Committee. Most recently, Mr. Kennedy joined the Board of Directors of Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space, a non-profit land preservation charity. A graduate of Seton Hall Law School and Boston College, Mr. Kennedy grew up in Pennington, attended Hopewell Valley schools, and now lives in Hopewell Borough with his wife and two daughters.
