Thomas J. Jennings Appointed To President’s Advisory Council At Delaware Valley College
Yardley, PA July 16, 2014 --- Thomas J. Jennings, Partner in Hill Wallack’s Yardley, PA office, has been appointed to the President’s Advisory Council at Delaware Valley College (DelVal), an independent, interdisciplinary college featuring individualized attention, small class sizes and an applied as well as theoretical approach to learning, located in Doylestown, PA. Founded in 1896, DelVal has grown from an agricultural school to an academically rigorous institution dedicated to the sciences and liberal arts. In the words of the founder, Joseph Krauskopf, we take “science with practice” seriously.
The President's Advisory Council at Delaware Valley College is a select group of distinguished professionals from varied industries who provide insight and counsel to President Joseph Brosnan on critical strategic issues facing the College. As industry leaders with diverse skill sets, council members provide a breadth and depth of experience in the management of complex organizations.
Mr. Jennings represents national and local business entities in a wide range of commercial transactions, with a particular focus on facility development and operations. Clients rely on Mr. Jennings for guidance in structuring agreements with the public sector and the formation of public-private partnerships. These activities often involve elements of public policy and procurement issues, economic development, government contracting, environmental regulation and land use planning. He has also served as counsel to the region’s metropolitan planning organization as well as economic development advisory panel which recommended changes critical to the way public and private sector organizations interact. He has represented private sector clients in relationship building with public bodies.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, Mr. Jennings is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Harvard College. He has been an active participant and recognized leader in community organizations, including Citizen Diplomacy International of Philadelphia; Harvard Club of Philadelphia Schools Committee; Snipes Farm & Education Center; and Pearl S. Buck International among others.
