    Hill Wallack LLP Sponsors the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce 2014 ECONference

    Yardley, PA May 13, 2014 --- Hill Wallack LLP was the Economic Luncheon Sponsor of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce 2014 ECONference, a full-day event held at PARX Casino on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The conference focused on the outlook for Bucks County’s regional economic development.

    The conference was open both to the public and the business community. In addition to the luncheon, expo and VIP networking reception, it included breakout sessions on topics ranging from workplace diversity to social media; from human resources issues to minority and women-owned businesses. The event was attended by hundreds in the local business community where attendees had the opportunity to exhibit, learn and network with one another.

    Hill Wallack LLP Partner Denise M. Bowman gave opening remarks at the luncheon focusing on the current state of the Chamber. Ms. Bowman serves on the Board of Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, previously served as pro bono counsel to the Board in 2012 and 2013 and next year will serve as its Chair.

    Lunch included a panel discussion on Economic Development moderated by Bucks County Commissioner Chairman Robert G. Loughery. Panelists included Terry S. Ward, COO, Peddler’s Village; Ronald Davis, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer/Director of Community Development, PARX; Peter Adamo, CEO, Lower Bucks Hospital; David Huting, CFA, PNC Wealth Management; Steve Wray, Executive Director, Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and Managing Director, PA Economy League; Anthony Carabelli, Jr., Business Advocate – County of Mercer (NJ); Karla Narvaez Hurley, President & CEO, Global Bilingual Solutions; Jeffrey Yarmel, Executive VP and COO, St. Mary Medical Center; and Ardy Lynn Wurtzel, Corporate Affairs Research Associate, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Key issues discussed included investing in infrastructure, the brain drain, building a talented workforce and business growth.

    Economic Development Awards recognized businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations working to improve the business and economic environments in Lower Bucks County.
