Princeton, NJ - As he does every year, Hill Wallack LLP Partner L. Stephen Pastor raised enough money to purchase some 500 turkeys and 100 chickens to distribute to families in need in the Trenton area this Thanksgiving. Over the last eight years, Mr. Pastor estimates that he has raised funds to purchase more than 3,000 turkeys that have been distributed to Trenton area families.Hill Wallack LLP Partner L. “This is the way my family and I start the holiday season,” says Mr. Pastor. “We believe passionately that everyone should be able to sit down as a family and enjoy a happy Thanksgiving together.”
Mr. Pastor raises the money to buy the turkeys, purchases the turkeys through Wegman’s in Princeton, which he notes, is “always helpful.” He then delivers the turkeys and chickens (which typically amount to around 2.5 tons of holiday meals) to The Church of the Sacred Heart in Trenton, where he helps with distribution.
The Church of the Sacred Heart, which has long partnered with Mr. Pastor, distributes bags of groceries to accompany the poultry, providing many families with much-needed holiday help.
In his day job, Mr. Pastor is a real estate attorney who is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He concentrates his practice in the areas of redevelopment law, commercial leasing, financial transactions, regulatory practice, liquor license transfers and real estate development.
