- Mel Edgar is an Associate with Hill Wallack’s Community Association Practice Group. After graduating from Rutgers University with a dual degree in Political Science and Cultural Anthropology, Mel applied their interdisciplinary studies to electoral work in a total of seven states. As a recipient of the Rising Advocate Scholarship, Mel earned their J.D. at Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During law school, they served as a Dean’s Scholar for Legislation & Regulation and Constitutional Law, as well as on the executive boards of OutLaw and Immigration Law Society.
In 2022, Mel was recognized for their performance in Trial Advocacy as the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and presented research at Drexel’s Emerging Graduate Scholars conference. Prior to joining Hill Wallack, Mel served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kimarie Rahill in the New Jersey Superior Court Family Division and Criminal Division.
Mel enjoys live music and applies skills learned through the Boy Scouts of America on outdoor adventures.
