Mario C. Formica is an associate of Hill Wallack LLP and a member of the
Complex Litigation and Gaming Law Practice Groups. Until recently an Assistant Prosecutor and
Supervising Attorney in the Violent Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Formica is
experienced in law enforcement matters. He concentrates his practice in civil and criminal litigation and
official misconduct matters.
An Atlantic City native, Mr. Formica also represents casinos and vendors in all aspects of gaming law,
including licensing, corporate, acquisition, development, financing, compliance policies, and compliance
investigations. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a casino table games supervisor at Bally's Park Place
Casino, giving him hands on experience in gaming operations. He also represents casinos and commercial
developers in matters involving redevelopment, real estate and land use law.
Mr. Formica earned his law degree with honors from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden and served as
Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Richard Stockton
College. Following law school, Mr. Formica served a Judicial Clerkship in the Appellate Division of the
New Jersey Superior Court with the Honorable Steven Z. Kleiner and Honorable Joseph Lisa. He is admitted to
practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for New Jersey.
